thanks for all the coments. All my turtles are very happy. Although I have an islandscape on it way because my xlg. map keeps flipping the current docking rock. All that i have left to do is paint the walls and caps on the outside. Anybody know of a type of grass that I should use in my islandscape. An islandscape is a floating island you put your own plants into. I figured for now I would just plant grass so it would be more natural for the turtles.

thanks for all your comments. The only problem I am having is keeping the water level up. I am guessing because of the 2 dehumidifiers running all the time, The water is evaporating about 1 inch per week. So, I turned the dehumidifier closest to the pond down for now to see if this helps. So far everything appears to be nice and dry. I have the dehumidifier on for 4 hours then off for 4 hours daily. I just keeps running like that to see if it helps through out the day. Anybody with any other ideas?

Thanks!!! Here are some almost finished pics!!! This is one of those projects, That is never quite done. There is always something else you decide to do or change.
This is my islandscape however I couldn't find grass send or sod, so we improvised with a piece of green felt.

tachu -- I would like to give you a word of caution. Many years ago I put some carpet on a rough rock so the little critters would not hurt there plastron. A week or so later I noticed some "stuff" sticking out of one of my buddies’ rear end and it was strands of carpet. They may start to eat your felt.

I am very upset 2 of my RES hatchlings have dissappeared out of our new inside pond. There is no-way for them to get out by themselves. I think one of my daughters friends must of taken them, how do you think I should confront them? I don't want them The turtles to die because of somebodys lack of knowledge on how to care for them. Any body have any ideas?
We also have a new tortoise hes great, he is a hermanns tortoise Cb 2007 born on August 4th.

On your missing turtles: Please make sure they have not gotten out and check with your own children. You may approach it this way. Ask the suspects to come over and help you find the turtles in or around the tank. Maybe they will return them on their own or maybe you can offer an reward??? If none of this works you can confront the parents. If you do that in a nice way the little thieves will have a hard time pulling them out as if they had found them. If you had a close up picture, that my help, as no two turtle shells are exactly the same. You will have to let your conscious be your guide on the relationship with the parents.

The turtles that you are missing probably escaped or was carried off by a bird. They will surely swoop in and get one. Any outside pond should be covered with a net.
