Two of my three turtles are missing from my 300 gallon, outside turtle pond.

Bubbles is the first turtle im missing. He's about 4 inches, and he's an Eastern Painted Turtle that i rescued.
Squeedgee is the second turtle that im missing. He's about 6 inches, and he's a Western Painted Turtle.

A few days before they went missing, all of our koi in our 2500 gallon koi pond were taken by 4 huge birds,
so we think that they took 2/3 of my turtles..

I want to get 2 more turtles, but i don't want to until i know how i can protect them from something like this
happening again.

My dad and I put a net over the whole turtle pond, and we put a plastic owl that moves his head and makes a noise
when the motion detector detects something in range.

Is there anything else I can do to protect my turtles and fish?

Thanks,
-Philip

The net seems to be working, but it's REALLY hard to maintain the pond with it.

Is there any other ways i could protect my turtle?

Haha.

So your saying a 13 year old should have enough money to purchase
a 100+ gallon aquarium?

Good try, but won't work.

Raise them inside first and then take them outside.
