If you can't afford a big aquarium at the moment, try purchasing a rubber-maid tub.

I had my 5" Western Painted turtle in a big 50 gallon rubber-maid tub for a while,
and it only cost me $15!

It's a cheap way to house a turtle if you don't have a bunch of money to spend. :]

Hope this helps.

ChristineJ -- Your turtle doesn't have a clue whether you can afford a proper size tank or not. If you are having a problem with dirty water you may have to change to water more. Having to change the water that much can be a pain. The rubber maid may be a solution. They don't cost too much. Good Luck!!
