Ok I have a 6 year old male eastern spiny softshell, yall have been very helpful helping me fix his tank. I got him the bigger rubbermaid tub( due to money and space) and I also changed to sand to protect his shell, im going tomorrow to get the ramp, and i bought her a clamp light today, i've been told before what kind of lightbulb to get but due to the changes in the message board it got deleted... what kind of lightbulb do i need, and any information on eastern spiny softshells will be very useful... I took him do love the little guy a whole lot and am trying to fix the mistakes i have made... thanx -Madison

Turtles need a UVA/UVB light bulb to maintain a healthy shell.
You can usually get the UVB light from special reptile basking ramp light bulbs.
