Was woundering how much uva and uvb my turtle needs and how long does the bulb last?

I usually leave my UVA and UVB light directed toward the basking area  and leave it on all day but then turn it off at night and my light usually last for about 4 months or more

An average UVA/UVB bulb will only emitt for up to 4 to 5 months. However, this will depend on the exact bulb being utilized. Powersun currently has a few bulbs that will outlast all others. They have a 100 watt and a 150 watt bulb. Both of these bulbs will last approximately 10 months. However, they also emitt heat so it will be necessary to observe the temperature of the basking area and adjust the bulb as necessary. I do not suggest this bulb for smaller habitats. ie. less than 20 gallons. It is hard to provide a cooler section in the habitat when you are utilizing this bulb in a smaller habitat.
