Right now I have a Mississippi Map and a Yellow Belly and they live in a 50 Gallon tank.  I feel like their home is too boring! I have the rock filter and a couple docks.  There are no rocks or anything at the bottom of the tank.  I have been afraid to put anything down because all I have heard is "you can't put sand down they'll eat it" "don't put little rocks down they'll eat it" "don't put fake plants.." so I guess my questions are...

What is safe to put in their tank?

Can I see some pictures to get some ideas?

Any other suggestions?

Thanks I am still new to my turtles I have had them for just 9 months and love having them!!! They are so awesome!!

In most cases having a pleasant home to a turtle is a healthy tank with plenty to eat. Most of the dress up is for our pleasure and not theirs. The only thing that I can think of that may need to be added to a tank is some place to hide and a place to bask. They are reptiles.
